| LIAM REAY (MILTON KEYNES CATS) really stamped his authority on the GP series with a win in this round which stretches his lead at the top to 19 points as he chases a second world crown. Behind him in the Grand Final BRAXTON MCCHESNEY (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS) reignited his hopes of a top 8 spot with 15 points which moves him up just one place but reduces the gap to 8th to 14 points. CHRIS ADAMS (WEDNESFIELD WANDERERS) came 3rd and he stays in 3rd overall with GABRYS IRZYK (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS) the other finalist, who suffered an engine failure in the final, and he jumps into the top 8 places. |
| NICK AMBROSE (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) and MARTIN SHAW (WEDNESFIELD WANDERERS) both scored 11 points, Ambrose to maintain 2nd overall and Shaw to remind everyone he is still a capable performer at the top level. The other Semi Finalists were HANS E BERGESTOL (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS) and OLLE BJORN THORESEN (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS) with the former moving up 1 place to put himself just outside the top 8 spots and the latter maintaining 4th position overall. |
| DENIS GOMOZOV (ABERAVON GEMS) scored a solid 8 points and is still within touching distance of a top 8 place if he can finish the series with a couple of good rounds. FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS), STEEN ERIKSEN (CANVEY ISLAND CASTAWAYS) and SCOTT BRIDGES (ABERAVON GEMS) all scored 6 and they are in a bunch of riders holding off the challenging pack for a top 8 place. PETR VERNER (WHITBY VAMPIRES) slipped away from the top 8 a little with just 5 points, the same as Wildcard SAM MCCURDY (ABERAVON GEMS) who looked solid enough as he failed to score in just one race. HAYDEN WOOD (LANKARSHIRE LIONS) continues his disappointing series as he scored only 4 points and a place in the GP Challenge now looks almost a certainty. MACIEJ TERCJAK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) started the day in the top 8 but just 2 points mean he slips down to 10th with a gap of 7 points to make up in the final 2 rounds if he wants to avoid having to qualify through the tricky GP Challenge. |
