| World Champion Liam Reay lifted his second British title with a fine 14 point display that put him 3 ahead of the rest of the field by the end. Fellow GP stars Chris Adams and Nick Ambrose completed the rostrum after beating Luke Treadwell and Scott Bridges in a runoff. Bridges could keep himself slightly unfortunate with a tapes exclusion costing him a chance of the title. Treadwell qualifies to the GP Challenge Semi Finals along with another former GP star Mark Black who took his chance from reserve. Black hadn't even been due to start at reserve before an injury to John Scotney promoted him into the lineup and then knocks for a couple of riders ensured he got 5 rides and he made no mistake. Also going through were Stephen Trowbridge, Tristan Bonham-Wells and Lucas Benson, the latter pair really upsetting the pre-meetings odds to do so. Peter Doyle and Sam McCurdy were left disappointed with their displays, 4 points each, while highly fancied David Bedford will be hoping for wildcard pick in the next round after being forced to withdraw with an ankle injury. |
