The destiny of the Juvenile Jaunt title went down to the very last race of the series. The two protagonists being Noah Nicholson of Tunstall and Harry Coles from Thornaby. Nicholson was 2 points ahead of Coles so just had to keep him in his sight to be the Champion. This he did as Coles finished third in the final and Nicholson last. He didn't care about that though as he punched the air in delight as he crossed the line. He wasn't regarded as one of the favourites coming into the finals but his strong consistent performances made him a worthy winner. Coles can be very pleased with his efforts and both can look forward to life in the AL.

The winner on the night, however, was Estuary's Jordan Trott. He had a quiet evening until bursting into life in his last three rides and easily racing away in the final from second placed Dominic Rivers. Both Trott and Rivers had poor first two rounds of the finals but showed what they could do in this final event. Of the other riders who were challenging for the title at the start of the night John Honey, Andrew Knapkin and Lee McAuliffe made the semi-finals where their prospects faultered. While Ben Case and Michael Plant failed to make the semis.

Darcy Broad started the meeting well with seven points after 3 rides but filed to score another after that. Alex Golden and Tim Luckhurst lost out on a semi-final spot on count back while Frankie Young, one of the favourites, could only score 6 points to end a bad set of results for a rider of his talent. Alain De Gruchy, Micky Spence and Christian Roche will have learnt a lot from the experience of riding in the finals and will come back stronger next season in whichever competition they are in.

So the Juvenile Jaunt ends for another season with Noah Nicholson topping the pile from Harry Coles with John Honey in third place. Some of these riders will go onto bigger and better things in the AL and beyond in the coming seasons and some will fall by the wayside. Some will be back in the JJ next season to try again. It just leaves me to say congratulations to the winners and thank you to all managers who posted about their rider and sent them for that all important coaching. See you all again next season.
